Zion, Bryce, Bitterroot Mts, 12 day road trip
Did all of it in 12 days. I know I missed some great fishing here at home but this trip has been long planned. Rode 350 miles on the Harley thru Zion, Bryce, unbelievable country. The bike is the way to go, screw those bus tours. The wife and I rode the Nat. Parks, drank at the local bars and cooled off in the Virgin River running thru our camp. Headed to Montana to see a buddy, he lives in Darby Mt. Freck'n Big Horn Sheep hanging out in people's yards, and a few were full curl rams, we also saw Moose, Elk, Antelope while driving along the Bitterroot River. Going up thru Idaho from Utah, we followed and camped on the Snake, and coming back thru Idaho, the Salmon River and would stop and camp a day along those rivers when ever we felt like stopping. Unfortunately we didn't fish this trip, now that I know the ropes, I plan it to have our non-resi lic. in hand before we leave, plus the right gear. So much beautiful country to see along there. I never paid more then 2.88 a gal, for Diesel until I got to Nampa Id. and paid 3.19 a gal. Campgrounds were 5 bucks a night with a Nat Park Discount card. Pretty Much right on the rivers, no reservations taken or needed. I'm totally amazed how far inland those CR Salmon travel. I'll be doing some more exploring in those areas again, with Elk and Deer hunting in mind,,,Gregg
I mentioned the fuel prices because we pay 3.85 and up a gal here in fleece you fornia
