Default Silly Me

Shucks. Reading all of these gear threads I'm feeling inadequate with my small fleet of spinmatics and non-linecounter reels. Then there are the mangled wiggly arrow venom and such thingies. Guess I should feel blessed that fish will still lower themselves to eat a worm.

Using all that low tech equipment, you will never catch the Professor of the School.
Just teasing. I to, have invested in high tech equipment, only to do the "Walk of Shame", at the boat ramp. Load the boat up and get out of there before someone asks me how I did.

I have the "new stuff" and lots of old gear and on a couple lakes and the river I find the old 80's-90's gear often works better myself.

New to Kokanee fishing, so my "old " gear is only about 3, maybe 4, years of age... Still filling the box with stuff, some works well, other has caught a fisherman wannabe... At least they have all caught something...

I think new tech is awesome. I can take out people who have never fished before and get Koke limits.

I’m no expert, but with busy lives and short attention spans, it’s nice to put fish in the boat.

There are lots of fish l’m horrible at catching, and that’s the new challenge for me. But I’ll be honest, it will be along time before I’ll drown a worm again. It’s been along time since I have. Thank power bait for that, but it’s been along time since I’ve dunked powerbait.

I’m glad you like your gear and the methods you use. Keep at it. Each of us have our preferences.

Point is, just get out of the house, and take people with when you can tolerate them!

it's the same in the flyfishing world these days, fur and feather offerings apparently never work any more
