Default Any sheath makers here?

I fought with the 40th Marine Commandos is Helmand province. One of the Brit Marines gave me his Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife after a firefight. I’ve had it in a bandana for 10 years. I am considering having a custom sheath made. Any ideas appreciated, at this point it’s a mantle piece. I haven’t ruled out mounting it to a plaque or something..

I got nothing for ya, other than that's a pretty sweet looking blade!

I hope you find your sheathman.

There seems to be a lot of items including knives and sheaths on ebay. Good luck.

I agree. That is too important of a story to put it away. I think a display box would be a cool way to honor both your service and the guy who gave it to you.

There is a saddle shop in Molalla called Rory’s Saddlery. He built a really nice Arrow quiver for me from an Axis deer hide I harvested in Texas. And I know he does custom holster work too. Give him a call.

Allric at Asylum Leathers does a very nice job.
He makes custom holsters and all kinds of leather works, including custom bullwhips.
If you have a picture of a Fairbairn sheath, he can duplicate it for you.
He's also a vet.

Don't know whether they ship internationally but you can get an actual authentic sheath for it here: https://www.thesheffieldcutleryshop....airbairn+sykes

(provided its dimensions agree with the product they sell)

If I was looking for a special custom sheath I would definitely check out Soul Bound Leather. She is out of Seattle and builds some of the top sheaths around. A lot of the custom knives that are displayed at Blade Show have her work.
