Rainshadow blank for spinning - coho sized salmon
Does anyone have recommendations on a Rainshadow blank for building a spinning rod, mostly for tossing spinners and spoons for coho and smaller chinook?

I'd use a fast action, one piece Hot Shot blank, in 8' 2" length. That way if you get a bigger fish on , you can really load it up, without fear of ferrule failure. You will also have a great twitching rod, if need be.

If you want a "jack of all trades" rod where you could advance into drift fishing, float fishing, etc. along with spinners and spoons, I'd use a REVST96M. You'll find info under it's old name IST1144F-M, want to go a little higher performance? Buy the XST1144F-M both will really wing a spinner, or spoon, buy at Utmost Ent., great prices, only pay actual shipping costs. They are on the Olympic Peninsula, so they know steelhead and salmon gear. 1/2 mile from either Batson, or Pac Bay.

Thanks for the advice, I may try building one of each suggestion.

I would second the REVST96M which is a 9'6" blank rated 10 - 17lb. I did note they still have it listed under the IST1144F-M on the recipe page.

Recipe page? I see Rainshadow has a blueprint tab for the IST1144F-M, but i don't see a recipe page (and I'd like to)
