Wak’m, I may look into the flir thing over the winter. Is the handheld worth it, I.e. would you buy it again? What model did you get? I Am wondering is it worth it for the higher res, higher refresh rate versions vs the basic ones. I’m probably not able to keep up with the Toys on the red catamaran but a handheld could be useful beyond just the boat.

I used a Flir whenI was running hounds. Sometimes I couldn't find them in the trees and that Flir took all the guess out. You are right about the price. I would not suggest buying the cheaper one. They are incredible.
