What is ifishstock?

Ifishstock began three years ago, as a get together for the community discussion board people on ifish.net. It is a family welcome bbq/picnic. Most people bring their fishing equipment and boats, and fish during the day, and join together in the evening to boil their crabs, serve fantastic fish dishes, and generally eat too much!
It's fun to put a name to a face. All these people that you have been talking to for so long suddenly come to life!
For three years, I have sponsored the event at my home, but ifish has outgrown our house, and now will be held for the first time, at Kilchis River Park, 1/2 mile up the road from our home.
The festivities generally begin around 4:00 PM, but people are welcome to arrive early to help set up, sun themselves, or just generally enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Bring your kids! Bring Frisbees, and bikes, and footballs, but most importantly, bring food! This is a fun time to show off your fanciest seafood delights. You will find everything from master grilled salmon to just plain old good eatin' crab, fresh out of the boiler. We will have a crab boiling station available for your catch. However, there is no actual fish cleaning station at the park.
We will have door prizes, both for the kids, and for the big kids. Community businesses often pitch in to make sure we have everything we need. :)
Come join the fun, September 14th, 2002 anytime in the afternoon!
Thanks, Jen

Where is Ifishstock?
At the Kilchis River Park, Tillamook Oregon

This map makes it look like Kilchis River Park is closer than it is. It is actually further down the road than it looks. Keep on going till you get to the end of Kilchis River Road. When you get to milepost 3, honk and wave at Jennie's house! :)

There are good signs. After passing Tillamook Cheese factory, look for a brown sign, about 1 mile down the road, traveling North. It will say, Kilchis River Park. Turn on Alderbrook, and follow the signs to Kilchis River Park.
Watch the intersection at Kilchis River Road and Alderbrook. It tends to be a little dangerous, especially on the way back into town.

1. Start on MAIN AVE N 0.2 2.
2. Continue on US-101 N 1.1 3.
3. Turn Right on ALDERBROOK LOOP RD 1.1 4.
4. Turn Right on KILCHIS RIVER RD 4.0

Anyone else want to join in?

Official MC: Crabbait! E mail Crabbait for any special announcements you want made!

Please... Tell me if you are bringing children under 14. I am going to have separate drawings for the kids, and I'd like to have at least a little something for every child.

E mail jennie@harborside.com and put ifishstock in the header, you know... the title.

Tell me at least aproximately how many in your group. I know it's early to know for sure, thus I'll keep bringing it back up.

Also, tell me how many children under 14.

The park dinner area costs 1 dollar per head to reserve. So, that, and the pig, I'm going to ask for three dollars when you register to come to the party. With your registration you will get some door prize tickets. Not sure how many yet! Two dollars for kids. Now, if you can't afford that, don't let it keep you from attending! Just pay the one dollar park use fee, and join us!!!

Does anyone have horse shoes? If they have a place for them, does that mean they MIGHT have them at the host's place?

Also, the park lady tells me only one person has reserved a spot. You better hurry up and reserve if you are staying there!
