Advice on son's NE Trask cow hunt

Posted this a while back, though I'd try it again. My son has his first decent chance at an elk coming up with a NE Trask Cow tag good for all of January. Open area is south & east on Hwy 6 & Hwy 8 starting at Roger's camp , west of Hwy 47 and then in sort of a NW trajectory line from Yamhill up to Hwy 6 again (includes a lot of Stimpson country which is open for 2 weekends, all around Hagg Lk & Barney Res., Gales Peak, etc.). I know the area around Barney Reservoir pretty good but want to know if anyone can tip me to some good areas, maybe hiking in behind locked Weyerhaueser gates or something like that?

I understand people now wanting to give away their best areas. Perference is to receive a private message. I'll keep it in confidence and send you back some areas that I know of as well.
