Choke Tube Help?
What are your favorite choke tube sizes and brands? For geese and ducks; hunting over decoys. Are the high dollar chokes worth the money? I just got a Benelli Nova w/ HD advantage timber camo. It came with a modified. I wanted to get an improved modified; that is what my 870 super mag had in it. Is that too tight for hunting over decoys? Thanks in advance…………Ross

Re: Choke Tube Help?
I've got the same gun. Bought a Pattern Master and I wasn't impressed so I started searching. Mike T told me about the Briley Light Modified and now I use it in every situation. The Briley is about 35$ or so at Sportsman's..Well worth the money. Shoot mostly over decoys with 2's or BB's.(Ducks and Geese.)Buy one and you won't be disappointed. Still put the full choke in for turkeys though.

Re: Choke Tube Help?
I use Briley light modified or IC and I'm happy with it.

Re: Choke Tube Help?
Just seemed like I was very inconsistent with it. Either dead on or complete miss. I guess that because we are always hunting over decoys and the average shot is 15-20 yards most of the time. I probably didn't give it real fair shake before I switched over to the Briley.

Re: Choke Tube Help?
Ross,
I bought the gun a year and a half ago.I've beat the heck out the gun and had zero problems with it. Have only done a complete cleaning twice since I owned it but I do wipe it down every time. Great gun!! I have the Briley Light Modified thats extended but not ported. Sportsman's has them. Talk to Tyler in Clackamas and he can set you up. Hope this helps.

Re: Choke Tube Help?
Just a thought
If steel shot shoots tighter then lead. Then an IC shooting steel would be like an Mod shooting lead.
