Boat or NOT ?
help me out dogs...
I have a fishing bud named Jim who insists that his Inflatable Kyack (see there I cant even spell it)..is a boat..
Now this all came about when we were over at a mutual friend - bruce's and I declared him a man with three boats and therefore a god - note he has a drift boat, 16' skiff and 12' alu car-topper.
Jim insists that I count his inflatable as a boat. He has a 19' Glasply and a 17' Grumman sportbote..so I have ceded him credit for two (well maybe 1.75..but that is another issue..)
Please vote, remember if you count it as a boat, your better half will tooooooo.
Jim (the other Jim)

Re: Boat or NOT ?
According to the police it would be considered a vessel. At least thats what they would tell me in the summer floating the rivers.

Re: Boat or NOT ?
If you have to register it and pay fees I'd say it was a boat. Other wise I'd say no.

Re: Boat or NOT ?
Wow, if that counts then I get to add the 5 single man rafts, the FishHunter 360, my pontoon "boat", and my float tube right? I'm up to 8 not including my real boats!

Re: Boat or NOT ?
My wife might call it a boat.
However a fancy inner tube does not a boat make.

Soooo... the 26 ft. aluminum runabout with fully enclosed cabin and dual 175 hp.outboards, attached on the side of the 225 ft. NOAA R/V Miller Freeman is not a boat? Hmmm?
The boat is sinking, get into your survival suits! To heck with that thing on the side there, it's not a boat!

Re: Boat or NOT ?
They are a boat in the same manner that a Snoopy Spincast Rod Combo is fishing equipment.
