Default Anti-Gun Movie?

I don't know if I am free to state the title of a movie that really set me off, so I will call it "Rolling a 16 pound ball at pins" for Columbine. My students told me that this is a great movie so I rented it. After 25 minutes of watching them try to portray all gun owners as well below average IQ, camo only dress and no sense of the world around them, I had to turn it off.
My question... Has anybody watched the rest of the movie? Is it any good? Did I over-react when I got **** off and turned it off?

I am curious about your opinions.

I watched about 3/4 of it yesterday. It wasn't too bad until the guy that made the movie took the kids who where shot in Colombine back to K-mart to "return" the bullets that couldn't be removed from their body. I'd had enough at that point and turned it off.

From the stand point of a person who graduated high school a few years ago, I can tell you that what you saw on that movie is the same kind of crap they are trying to teach kids at school. I remember having to sit through an assembly where a lady came to the school and informed us that guns were the #1 killer of people in the U.S. That guns were the result of over 10 times as many deaths and a load of other "information" that was all complete lies. While I have not seen bowling for columbine,(because I know I would just be sickened if I tried to stomach it)I know who it is that made it, and he is an anti gun fanatic, who manipulates the truth to try and constrew guns and gun owners in the eyes of impressionable young people, as well as people inane to what a gun is used for. I saw a little cartoon he made a year or two back that had the implication that the NRA was a group founded and controlled by the *** . He is just another person that tries to sell only killers have guns and all the worlds problems would be solved by eliminating guns. Yet, he seems to leave out that roughly six times as many people are killed annualy by swimming pools, and more people are killed by drunk drivers than are by guns...but you don't find him trying to outlaw swimming or alcohol. So no, I don't think you over reacted...you handled more of it then I could!

Moore is a liar plain and simple. He fabricates these lies by manipulating the truthg and people believe him. He's VERY good at it. There should be legal consequences for what he did to Heston.

Since I have not seen the movie, I was not aware that moore tried to portray Bush and Quayle as fearing African Americans. It is strange though, that an administration fearful of African Americans, to place an African American in charge not only of operation desert storm, but also make him the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff. Its people like Moore that manipulate people in the united states. A good majority of the people are not informed about many of the political subjects that we have at hand. And there are alot of people, especially impressionable youths, that are very gullable, and are easily swayed, especially when you make up facts that shock or scare them. So, when people hear these things from Moore, and others like him, they don't question their validity. They are shocked and disgusted and scared, and don't think to question if he is telling the truth or not; they just believe what he is saying is true, and go on beieving that it is true. And when it comes up to put more restrictions on firearms, or ban certain firearms, guess who will be voting for it? All in all, the fact that Moore is still even allowed to live in this country and not be charged with treason baffles me!Because what he says about the U.S. is far beyond free speach.

I am going to watch this movie in a couple of weeks because of my sister in law. She wants to argue with me. So I will sit down and watch it with her and pause it and pull up some of these links and show her the lies of the movie.

This movie is so damning to gun owners. I am sickened by the links that I have read. The movie is an absolute fraud. Make up facts and the idiots of this country think guns are evil. It is that easy. I was looking at a classified add where a guy was selling his 2 handguns because he watched this "movie." I told him to please do not jump to conclusions about this fraud of a movie. I told him I would send him some links about it if he wanted. I got no response. Figures.

I donated $10 to the guy in the last link. You should to.

Exactly! It seems a good majority of the people are ignorant and are swayed by any false information thrown their way! Let me know how watching the movie goes. I have dealt extensively with people whos minds have been poisoned in the past...it is hard to sway them. But one thing to use is, since I assume you are a gun owner, ask her if she views you the way gun owners are portrayed in the movie. Or your father if he hunted or anyone else in your family. Because if the movie is true, then you and all the other gun owners in your family must be what the movie says you are.
