Default Big Cats in the White River Unit??

A buddy and I are looking at heading out to test his new electronic caller...his early Christmas present to himself . He talked to a biologist who reccomended hunting elk/deer wintering areas (duh!) but wasn't real forthcoming about where those are at.

Can't say I really blame him, guess there were a bunch of trophy animals killed on winter ranges in Central Oregon last year, if I remember. Pretty sad, if we had some real good location info from a biologist, we'd probably have a good chance at a cat...which is a good thing for the herds in general.

Any ideas...PM or e-mail would be great. Looks like lots of fresh snow the next couple of days, premium for tracking.

Kyle, I was over last weekend but had tough conditions for tracking.

I e-mail you later this evening.

Heard that cats have moved in big time along the lower Deschutes area. Maybe thats a start.
