Gotta love the fingernail polish! And your shotgun looks like the stock is too long!

Merry Christmas everyone!

My stock is too long? What is a stock?

Hunting will NEVER be my sport. EVER. But I sure had a good time going along. I can't see well enough to shoot accurately. :depressed:

Bill said, "Oh! Here comes Jim! See him?"

"nope."

"Jennie, he's right in front of us, wading through the slough!"

"I don't see him."

Bill looked at me and said, "Jen, hunting is not your sport!"

I don't care. I do love to go along and watch, and I did shoot the gun! Actually, I have shot before, but this time I got a lesson in safety. It was fun.

The safest thing for me and guns? Stay away from me!!!!!

Jen

By the way, for all of you real duck hunters... Bill has a duck lake he hunts in North Plains.

Today, we only saw two pin tails fly. That's IT!

(I hope I spelled that correctly!)

He said it was the slowest day he'd seen.

(I'll say....)

Anyhow, it's been really slow all season, he says, but this was the worst.

Actually, on the way over, I asked Bill,

"So, what color of lipstick works for ducks?"

He told me green or puke yellow.

"Oh my, I have none of that."

and I'm not getting any, either!

That is AWESOME Jen!!!

I'm printing that and pasting it over my Women In Waders Calendar.

You Rock. The last time I had my wife in a duck pond in waders we were dating (quite a while ago) Now the closest she gets is making me sandwiches. My daughter still whacks some geese though.

Hey, at least you were holding on to the right end of the gun!!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Default Merry Christmas! I did it!!!

I shot a gun for the first time!

I didn't kill anything, but maybe that's a good thing!

I love DUCK HUNTING!!!

HO HO HO!!!!

Hey, this is a fun sport! It's kind of like plunking while fishing, when it's slow, but nice to at least have a duck blind for cover!

Jen,

Well can you imagine being out there when there are so MANY ducks flying by/around you that you don't know where to shoot first?!!

And when things "settled down", you could pick and choose exactly the duck and the shot that you'd like to take. If you didn't see it one moment, no biggie, there'll be more in a minute or two!

It really gets like that, on some days!

Some iFisher who belongs to a club or has access to some super productive land should offer to take you out to really get an eye full!

That would "do it" for you! I can promise you'd be an instant "goner"!

Welcome to the club!

Bill C.-sbio

I took my wife Duck hunting a couple years ago. Long story short, she got a new Autoloader for her 40th B-day!!! She loves it. We spent the day yesterday in the swamp, watching wildlife, the sites and sounds never cease to amaze me!!!

It's also an excuse for "grown-ups" to play in the mud!!!

Welcome to waterfowlin'

Your polish looks quite festive and I think this would make the perfect Christmas card. Think of your friends and family learning that you were taking up hunting

Congrats Jen. You've found the greatest sport there is...and spectating is a perfectly acceptable way to enjoy it if that's what floats your boat.
