The Seahawks Won Again?
Holy chrome! Isn't that 11 and something now? Should I jump back on the wagon again?
I was a slobbering, diehard, the-rest-of-the-league-can-go-stuff-it Seahawks fan for many, many years. Still have a real #12 jersey with my name on it (seems though it has shrunk a bit ) and fond memories of many trips to the Kingdome. I had to give it up. It was just too much for this type A guy, year after year.
I don't pay a whole lot of attention to football anymore but this current team is sure making things interesting.
Best of luck Seahawks.

11-2 with home field for the playoffs. It would be great if they make it to the Superbowl!

Re: The Seahawks Won Again?
With the Seahawks weak division and weak schedule they appear to be the NFC frontrunner to lose to the Colts in the SB. But nobody remembers second place, trust me, coming from a 30 year die hard Eagles fan...brutal!

Re: The Seahawks Won Again?
I was at the game. Seattle played good but I think San. Fran. played worse. There is a lot of buzz and excitement around, but I didn't hear too much Superbowl talk. Every one is really pumped to play Indy X-mas Eve. And allot of people were talking about the need to make allot of noise for the whole game to try and keep Manning from being able to audible very well. So if you are going to the game you better be ready to scream the whole game.
Go Hawks.

Re: The Seahawks Won Again?
Why would anyone in their right mind think Tony Dungy will play Manning in that game? There is absolutely nothing left for them to play for and everything to lose. I think the Seahawk fans are going to be treated to the Colts 3rd stringers XMAS Eve, like the Eagles did last year with McNabb and Co.

Re: The Seahawks Won Again?
F A R T,
Sorry... Can't agree with you on that one. I think Dungy and the rest of the Colts will be looking to go 16-0 on the season. Just to make history and also because so many are starting to predict that it will be a Hawks-Colts SuperBowl.
I think the Hawks had better bring their "A" game to this one. GO SEAHAWKS!

Fshklr...How do you figure Indy "got beat" last week by Tennessee when they won 35-3? Is drubbing loosing teams no longer good enough? As far as the Jacksonville game goes, I would hardly suggest Indy barely got a W. Keep in mind Seattle was handed a "L" by Jacksonville back at the beginning of the season and the Jags have a top 10 defense.
Sure giving up 15 points in the last 9 minutes of the game is not something to write home about, but beating a team with a strong winning record is never easy. Give Jacksonville some credit for playing tough, but I doubt Dungy has started digging into his playbook very far.
The 'Hawks are looking better, but they still have only played one quality team in the last 6 games (the Giants). Their two losses were on the road to marginal teams and going to Tenn and Green Bay won't necessarily be a walk in the park. Many of the playoff contenders are playing the toughest part of the schedule going into the last few games. Other than facing Indy at home, the Seahawks will have to remember how to duke out a win come playoff time.

Re: The Seahawks Won Again?
Sorry Spoiled Daddy, you'll see. 16-0 means nothing, it's the Lomardi trophy that matters most to each player, team, fan, coach and on and on.That's what they all play for, so Dungy would be hung by his toes if his star QB was injured going for a perfect season instead of protecting them for the playoff run. Dungy is too smart and too good a coach to risk it after all he's been through and coming so close to the big one.

The same applies to the Seahawks if they have wrapped up home field, you'll see Alexander and the boys taking a night off...bookmark it indeed

Re: The Seahawks Won Again?
Dan, they've certainly been a bit lucky in some of the games. At the same time, they were the beneficiary of other teams not getting it done. The difference between good teams and great teams in consistency. Maybe it was luck, but they're finding some way day in and day out to get the job done. It will be interesting to see what happens Christmas eve, I doubt starters will rest the entire game, since off-weeks aren't always a positive. I also really doubt that no attention will be paid to A) the record and B) that some of the players' attitude in the super bowl would be affected by a previous matchup (Christmas eve) I like these full-on drubbings of teams, but Alexander doesn't really get to pad his stats then.

Re: The Seahawks Won Again?
whoever says that the 16-0 record means nothing, and that the lombardi trophy means everything is thoroughly confused....
That Dolphins team is a topic of discussion every year...EVERY year...dont get me wrong, winning the SB is great, but how many times do you hear people refer to the SB champions of 1962???or 1973....or 2000....

I do believe you are disillusioned..I'd be willing to bet if you asked every player, fan, coach, etc on the Colts which they would rather have it would be the Super Bowl ring, not the perfect season...16-0 with a first round playoff loss wouldn't sit well

My money is on that Dungy will play ALL the starters in all the remaining games. Especially the Hawks game. If they gain a healthy lead he will probably pull some out for safety reasons. No one knows for sure but time will tell. To say that they could care less about the perfect record is crazy.

Re: The Seahawks Won Again?
Lets keep in mind that the coach(es) will be called idiots and hung by thier toes if anything goes wrong in the next 3 to 6 weeks. It doesn't matter.
Don't use thier starters and lose the game. He's an idiot.
Use the starters and get them hurt. He's an idiot.
Get hurt in practice. He's an idiot.
With that, I think the coaches will go full steam ahead and that if they fail, they will do so trying thier best with all guns blazing.
