Default Have a "preferred worker" card?

Looking for someone in the Portland area with an Oregon or Washington "preferred worker" card. These cards are issued by the state when a person is injured on a job and recieves a settlement and does not return to the field of work they were injured in.

If youve been injured, and recieved workers compensation settlement and a pereferred workers certificate to retrain in another field, email me please.

Must have medical clearance to return to work.
I have a great oportunity for the right person to retrain as an apprentice under me, a sole proprietor of a functioning, profitable, promising licensed business in Washington (Soon to be licensed in Oregon as well)

Could lead to your own license and business after completion of a Wa. state apprenticeship program.

The Preferred Worker program is a great program for employers as well since any w/c injury experienced in the new job is handled through the state of OR, and doesn't go against your MOD rate (insurance). A great program for employees who have experienced a permanent partial disability from a w/c injury.
Good to you RvW for looking for these folks.

Just a slight correction. It is issued by the Worker's Compensation Division, not by SAIF. SAIF is an insurance company, one among many in Oregon. The Preferred Worker Program is a state program. Any one with a permanent partial disability award and unable to return to their regular job can get one, regardless of the insurer. It can even provide tools, books, moving costs, etc. to take a new job, and the premium exemption and claims cost reimbursement make ait a great deal for the employer.
