Default Is the Sandy fishable...

I was going to hit the Clack in the morning but it looks to be blown out. I think that I will sit home and take care of the sick wife for the day.

Probably not, with freezing levels dropping it ought to get in shape for high water spots below Oxbow by late Monday or Tuesday.

Clack, gonna be a while.

I would vote for the coast.

I drove by the Sandy and took the dog for a walk around the thousand acres area yesterday and the river was way swollen and real muddy it probably wont fish well till mid week if the rains subside. I wish I was fishing now!!!!!!!!!

Fished for an hour today in Oxbow...river high but clarity not bad with about 2' of visibility. Stopped to check with the plunkers at the boat ramp...they got 3 today, one of them was a released snake. If you are off tomorrow I would effort the Sandy I'm planning on being there.

It is high but very fishable. I was shopping for a house today and drove all around the Sandy area. I drove to Dodge Park and saw two guys fishing the Bull run where it runs in and they caught a nice native while I was watching. So I kept driving the park and saw a hole right near the road. I casted in and hooked two fish in about 15 minutes. I didn't land them but it was the most excitement I have had in about 3 weeks fishing. People might of thought I was wierd though. I was out there all in my nice clothes. and a huge red snow jacket. But yes it is fiahable!

SandyRiverRon, never thought I'd see the day you gave up the zipper . The guys at the ramp will have to line up early from now on .Guess it's a good thing the park opens at 6:30. Good luckiin the am.

For the lawn chair, thermos and bell on the rod crowd....a couple extra bodies don't bother them...why they enjoy the company.
