Default A Sturgeon Virgin No More

Is IFish Great, or What!!

All praise to Anger Management (Mark) who invited me on his open sled (the better to appreciate the weather), and took us to the secret sturgeon holes.

Praise also to Tuna Breath (Marty) who provided the slide, weight, leader and hook, with instructions on how to rig it. TB got things going when he demonstrated his secret technique (eating a tuna sandwich) which did indeed take the skunk off the boat before he could even finish the sandwich.

And special thanks to GreenButtSkunk (Brad) for loaning his sturgeon pole. You may have been stuck at home with Mrs. ButtSkunk and Baby ButtSkunk, but your sturgeon rod has been christened.

Anger Management in a sweet mood with a bent rod.

Tuna Breath into a heavy gator.

The first sturgeon ever for Tillamook Chinook is a 45" keeper.

I guess I have to quit saying I have never caught a sturgeon under 160 lbs. Now I have to try to catch one over 16 lbs.

Woo Hoo, a sturgeon virgin no more!!

Next up, Tuna!!

TC

I lost my Sturginity yesterday too. Many thanks to the Captain, Zzzzzzzzz, and the hand-off man, fish_on. By the end of the day I'd become somewhat of a sturgeon ho

WOhooo!
That was a brand new rod Jim. Guess it's got some seriously good fishing mojo now. Maybe I should sell it in the classfieds. I could get top dollar. Congrats again, very few can ever say the first fish was a keeper. Maybe an Ifish first.
