BlueWater lives! A thank you.
Well it took a talented group of paramedics, including the life flight crew,a whole lot of caring nurses, many incredible doctors, 32 days in the hospital (7 of which spent unconsious in ICU),and most importantly help from the main guy upstairs so I can live to hunt another day! While I was in the hospital Jen mailed me a copy of the thread wishing me well and I must admit it brought me to tears. The one thing a guy does not realize until something like this happens is the outflowing of kindness and generousity from people in your lives and those you don't even know. I thank all of you for you thoughts and prayers and well wishes in my dire time of need.
I will follow soon with the "Rest of the story" but for now I am just thankful to still have my leg and to be alive.
Joel Glass aka BlueWater.

Great news, Bluewater, and you better hurry. It seems we've got this cougar hunt planned and sure don't want you to miss out.
Actually, we're all just extremely happy (and relieved) that you're back among us.
Thanks for the good news!

Joel - Glad you pulled thru and I wish you a speedy full recovery.
I am really interested in how it happened. Gun caliber, distance, point of entry and angle, bullet weight etc.... Write us a book and tell us about it.

Re: BlueWater lives! A thank you.
Joel,
Great news to hear of your on going recovery. How happy your family must also feel!!
A story may be nice but it might be better left alone. It may open the door to the I told you so's, finger pointers, and PC reckless. I'm sure many are curious including myself, and some good info may come of it in how to avoid such an accident, but this could be a very heated topic good or bad when posted.
This is just my .02 for some thought before posting your story.
Continued prayers to you and your family.
Dan

BW...it is moments like these that can often define the rest of our lives. Giving us a new appreciation for life, the people we love and the things we love to pursue. Praise God that you have another chance and I wish you the best in your continued recovery.

Blue Water,
Glad to hear things are better for you and yours especially this time of year. Certainly one for the memory books as "a year to remember."

Bluewater,
I have been there too, and I am glade to here you are comming along OK, It well take some time to be up and running, and take time to mend.
I don't need a story, as like I said, been there.
Just get well and when time says it's ok to fish, hunt, GO----GO----GO, LIFE IS TO SHORT.
