Default Need Your Input On Henry's 22LR Lever Action???

I am looking to buy a 22 for my son. I was looking at the Henry's 22 lever action at Bi-Mart for 169.00. This is the entry level gun, not the Golden or Magnum.
First of all, is this a good little rifle? I can only say the action was absolutely flawlessly smooth. Sweettttttt.
Is this gun accurate, can it be scoped, and what do you guys think of this gun?
Also, is Bi-Marts price good on this gun?
Thanks for your input

I have a henry 22 lever action...Very sweet gun. Mine shot 22 wildcats very nicely.

I don't know what model you where looking at but the one I had you could mount a scope on it.
I liked mine and I think you would be happy with one!

If this is the Henry's Golden Boy for $170, I'd jump on it, NOW. They normally are around $350 and Yes is a very good good. It is the rifle of the year for 2002. They have brass side plates, lever action. This will be a valuable gun in years to come. If it's another model, sorry I can't help you.

I am sure it isnt the golden boy.

I love the looks of the golden boy, wanted to buy one but when I try to shoulder it, it just doesnt fit To much drop on the stock, I feel like I need to stick it under my arm to look down the sites, that or I need a longer neck to elevate my head

Keep your trap shut Waterdog

I read a review a couple years ago comparing the Henry, Winchester 94/22 and Browning's lever .22. The review was favorable, said it was just as much gun as the others at half the price. One negative was the alloy receiver. Bi-mart's prices are tough to beat. No personal experience shooting them, but they look and feel nice to me.
