Cougars next 2 weeks?

I may be able to make a run SE before long. I am anxious to see the Bucks on winter range and attempt to witness the harvest of a cougar (and a yodel dawg or 2 ). I have to wait 'til 01-01-03 for a kitty tag, but I don't care about killing personally. The privelege of being in such grand country and fine company is pleasure enough for me--although it would make my trip to see somebody connect with a critter!
I'll stay at my friend's the Northrup's (Fields Station and Motel). I'd be glad to bunk with a partner from team Puma Posse, and would arrange lodging for anyone who might be interested.
My friends Ron Garner (District Biologist fom Burns) and Walt Van **** (Ontario) have both een helpful in identifying areas where deer winter and cougar's lurk.
No promises, but I am gauging interest.

Im not gunna be able to make a trip over east untill after the first of teh year, I am gunna go up the Calipou( I cant spell that river) River next week and see what I can find, theres alot of Cougar sign up there!

Looks like I'm going to be an after-the-first hunter too. Darn, I had really wanted to get out sooner than that.

My wife has an elk tag for the 6th thru the 14th over by Mitchell, so we're planning a three-day trip over the second weekend. She's really pumped to get an elk, so that's my number one priority.

Then the next weekend is the 21st, and suddenly it's Christmas.

Can any of you get free during the week to go? That will probably be my best shot until Jan.

I work Fri, Sat, Sun and alternating Mondays, so during the week is alot better for me, afterthe first of the year I will be very ready to go!

I am pretty tight until...shoot, who knows? Man, I just remembered we are taking a good buddy to Vegas (I wanted Whistler) early Jan. for his bachelor party; then he gets hitched the 9th. Maybe the following week?
