Poll on Polls- give me your opinion!

What do you guys think about doing success polls like I have been doing lately? Here are some guestions, so fill them out. If some of the guestions are not important to you, say so by your vote. Really important is to give me new ideas of guestions to ask and like Brian's idea to put in a viewing guestion so you don't have use the "view results" button or mistakely submit an answer to view the poll. I would hope everybody enjoys seeing the polls, it will really help give us some prospective in the future, I hope. I forgot the private/public lands guestion, I think that is a good one. What else?

Rank are you suggesting you may have a career in government?

I think there ought to be a way for hunters to be able to submit their hunting results to the ODF&W via the Internet.
It would save on the current phone survey method. Or maybe an 1-800 call in and press number 5 if you hunted 5 days etc.

It could come with an incentive of a discount on next years tags.

There is a problem of people not telling the truth for what ever the reason. I know of at least a few archery elk hunters who always put in no success even though they take a bull about 80% of the time. There is always the villan... There are also hunters who will claim they took an animal even though they didn't I suppose.

No need to make a poll asking who lies on the ODF&W polls.

It would be nice to see man power at the ODF&W put to better use than calling every deer and elk tag holder to ask about the hunting season. I think it's known that with all the junk mail out there a mailed poll would be a real waste of time.

When you add questions about rack size, how about adding a question about cow/doe. Handicap hunters are allowed to take either as are special tag holders. Might make the numbers look a bit different.

Building off of your idea, maybe the tag vendors could ask the questions. Similar to the H.I.P. Validation.
They wouldnt have to ask too many questions or take much time because they already know what tags people had.
Two questions, were you successful and if it was a buck or bull hunt, how big. Then they would get answers from all hunters that buy a new license.
Sounds simple enough......

Don't worry Sandman, I'm just about out of biggame hunting seasons!!

I would think it would be nice if these polls could be pinned at the top for a while it would save me from having to jump them back to the top.

I still think us ifishers would want to know how much better we are! Sure seeing some different results than ODF&W surveys.

That's a good point, I would have to be careful so as not to single out the disable hunters. What is a special tag holder?

Most polls aren't too bad. If it's something that doesn't interest me or, doesn't give an option for me, I treat it like a thumbnail picture and don't take a look.
Just don't ask for another sticky on the top of the page......No, really do not ask!

How many deer vs people did you see while hunting. How many miles spent on foot. Rate your overall hunting experience 1-10. Do you think we should get rid of doe and cow tags in units with poor numbers. How about 3 point or better for deer and elk in certain units especially with low bull-buck numbers. Eliminate late cow hunts during pregnancy. There's a few polls to consider that have all come up on here.

Yes...I've cut quite a few poles over the years. Hate those 90 fter's!
