Default Boat seat mounting ?

Hay Howdy Hay
My Smokercraft Alaskan SS 15 has three box seats. On the floor inside the box is a black rubber what looks to be pedestal seat mount cover. They appear to be factory installed. Do you think they are factory and can I mount a pedestal to this. Is it made for this intention with threaded mounts? If so how would I know I am buying the right pedestal for the hole configuration? Thanks much to all. BLIND BOBBER

I am wondering if this is a stupid post? No answers though 63 viewers. I could go untarp the boat, empty the boxes and take a look or call a dealer I suppose. O.K. guess I am just lazy.
Merry Christmas to all

Sorry I have no answer. You did not include a picture so hard to visualize what it is you are asking.

Those are covers where the foam was injected beneath the floor. It was the only way they could do it and hide the holes.
You can take them off and put in a base for a pedestal seat.
I am sure there is aluminum under the floor also to attach screws through, or at least there is supposed to be so the seat boxes are attached all the way through the floorboard, and the aluminum. Also the screws do not align with any pedestal bases. You will most likely have to make the hole bigger also to accept the base.
Hope this helped.
