Default 2's company, 3's a crowd...right? (w/pics)

Took my Dad for a little drift on our favorite Coastal River. The day started off pretty slow, OK really slow.

I "Long-line released" a hefty steelie in front of a small crowd

I attempted to salvage my Fishn' Pride but the fish wouldn't cooperate, so off we drifted....

Along the way we met fellow Ifisher's: Cutt Plug and What's Knot (I think that what he said his moniker was) NICE TO MEET YOU GUYS!!

We fished some promising water but nothing took the bait, literally!

It was getting pretty late in the day, and just when we thought all hope was lost:

This Steelie fell for Dad's "Cop Car" Hot Shot.

We gave the drift one more try and in the exact same spot, Dad's rod takes a lunge towards the water, but this fish didn't like the taste of Dad's Hot Shot and tried everything to get it out of it's mouth, finally successful :depressed:

But the next drift had this LITTLE guy hiding behind a root wad:

The fish box just would have been to crowded with another fish....right?

I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday! Thanks Dad!

Great job on the Chromers!

You didn't have much river left when I saw you last, way to keep after em!

We skunked out. I'm going to have to learn how to pull those plugs better.

It was a pleasure sharing the river with you.

Andy, good to see you taking the steelies like you did the silvers in August. Keep it up and maybe next year I'll have a chance to get out there too. Winters are killers for me at work.

Great to see that you took you dad along. I only wish that I could have done the same. Dad took me so many times when I was a kid but I never had the opportunity to return the favors.
Count your blessing and be thankful becasue it is more special than you may realize....

Way to stick it to em. I wish I was there instead of a climate controlled OR.
Watch out for the ice people! Your making work for me!

Andy--beautiful fish...congrats!! Thanks for the invitation to fish with you...call anytime (I'm retired).  I'm glad you had a great day fishing with your Dad...there is nothing better. I really enjoy the days spent with my son, however, I usually get out fished.
