What do you have to be thankful for?
well,
i moved to portland 2 months ago. two weeks later i had my car stolen and a painfull back injury from a fall. things are getting better, i was able to find a new car and the vicodin lets me be able to sleep. so...
im thankfull for all the friends who helped me get by while getting on my feet. for my parents who helped with transportation. for a good job where i get time and a half for working on turkey day. and im REALLY thankfull that i dont work at the DMV where everyone seems to hate life.
count your blessings,
chris.

Amen!
Sometimes when I get all cranky cause I can't fish or hunt every time I feel like it, I have to look back and see how good we (my family) really has it.
A healthy 4 year old son,a baby girl due in a month. A loving wife and all the toys I ever wanted. Whats not to be thankful for?

Re: What do you have to be thankfull for?
I am with you on all the above, but I wish I could have my Mom & Dad back to spend this time with as a big family, I also look back when I spent this time with my bro's who are no longer with us from the 60's who gave there lives to help protect all of us.
I am so THANKFUL, life go's on and now I have my daughter and son and now there little ones that keep me going, I just hope and pray I can pass on my love for the outdoors, and the freedom to fish and hunt.
Peace my friends here on Ifish, and in my many walks of life.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Norski.

Keta beating Cancer and my brother surviving his wreck.
He is still struggeling with the ribs and may have to go through a special proceedure to get them put back together but at least he is still around.
Of course the wife, kid and the life we are able to live.
For the good friends we have and for fishing.

Re: What do you have to be thankfull for?
They are all upstairs right now. My 82 year old In-laws.
My father-in-law has Alzheimer's and this most likely will be the last Thanksgiving we all share together. As I write this I can hear my Wife and her sister explaining who everyone is in relation to him.
My sons are home safely from back East and here in town. My Sister -in-law and her husband who have endured all of life's vicissitudes with us. Their Daughter who will be giving birth in the next few months. And her husband who looks as confused and over whelmed as my father-in-law.
All in all it is a typical family gathering. Full of love and kindness and compassion. Interspersed with the grumbling of spouses trying to get things done.
Ahhhhhhh, Home Sweet Home.
Have a Blessed and Peaceful Thanksgiving.

Keta --- You bet we're thankful about your triumph. I cannot envision Ifish without you.
