From what I have learned, those are the type of people that werent taught how to actually hunt. If my dad didnt teach me my limitations on shooting I wouldnt have known any better in my first few years and may have done the same thing. Its just a fact of people that dont know how to hunt and are out there just to shoot their gun. Its rediculos and needs to change but it happens everywhere. Sorry to hear you had to be around it.

I think DukAddict has it nailed; they are mostly inexperienced waterfowlers who desperately want to get into the sport, but haven't had the opportunity to hunt with someone who can show them the ropes.

Sometimes I think that I call like they shoot. But each time I get to hunt with an experienced caller, I learn something new to practice. One of these days my buddies will quit confiscating my calls before we set up the blinds, and I'll be able to help with the calling.

Opportunities to hunt with an experienced waterfowler are probably the most valuable thing a new hunter can do. If you're new and can hook up with someone who knows the ropes, DO IT !

Other than that, there are no really easy answers, but maybe the video guys could start including a little blurb in their tapes about skybusting, and what constitutes a reasonable shot. That might actually help as well.

Those that have hunted with me know where I stand on this. If I cant get them in my face, then no big deal. Its just a stinking bird... Let em go, there will be other opps. I agree or would like to think that its just lack of edumacation....

Even if they are in your face...you would rather be videotaping . What patience you have!!
