Default k fish / flatfish ?

I read somewere that if you add another ring to the hooks to get them away from the body of the kwikfish or the flatfish that you you will increase your hook ups does it work or is this just a way to get me to buy more split rings any info would be great. like what is the recipe for carrot milk

I always double my splitrings,Yes it helps.I know of one guide who uses a swivle on the eyelet then cuts open the eye of a treble hook to get it on the swivle then pinches it shut.

Only worry about the belly hook. When you wrap your lure the extra clearance will allow the hook to trail properly.

The extra split ring will also allow the hook to twist a little more freely, keeping the fish from twisting out the hook. I think it's a good idea.

BH29...I like the swivel idea that R.R. talks about. Like R.R I learned about this from a guide at last years sportsman show. The hard part is having a good pair of pliers (your choice) to spread the eye on the lure, and a large pair of diagonal cutters to cut at the base of the treble hook eye......it's very strong and when you bend it back into place, it will work without a problem. The other idea the guide had was to replace the treble in the middle with a siwash attached to the swivel. Something about making your hookup better!!
Good fishing this spring

Take the belly hook off and toss it. It just gets in the way when wrapping. Even Buzz Ramsey says it makes little difference in how the plug works. Treble or single siwash on the rear with a barrel swivel works best. You can attach with a split ring or cut the eye and bend it either way will work. If you use Owner hooks they are difficult to cut and bend. They seem to break as they are harder and more brittle.

Have you heard about the new "Foxee Fish" that Blue Fox is introducing? I understand that it will be at the Sportsman's Show next week in Portland. It comes in sizes 14 and 15, has notches on the sides to hold wraps and has a scent chamber in the belly. They also have some hot holographic finishes and some have red treble hooks.
