Hey folks post up if you have one or know of one. This is for a friends boy who is 9 who I'm introducing to the sport. He is a great kid that is really going to love it. They just don't have a lot of $$ right now so I'm picking up some things for him as I can sneak the $$ from my wife

This is probably a little to large for a 9 year old, but this is what I have. It's one of the older Stearns Float Coats. It is a medium adult size, in a dark green color, and is a type III PFD.
Possibly some measurements would help:
Arm length from the shoulder.....25"
Width across back................19"
Length down the back.............32"

This coat would be "free" to this young man, to get him started out in bird hunting.

Let me know if this would work and we can work out a way to get it to you.

I am located in Dallas, OR. I'm a good distance from you. I do spend some time at Sauvies and L&C. I may be up at Sauvies on Sunday for a hunt on the East Side. Possibly we could get together after hunting that day.

Even though we have a boat and hunt L&C, I would enjoy spending a day down there with you sometime. Thanks for the offer.

Dan, I have an old Stevens (I think) 20 guage That I would be willing to part with. I have not shot the gun in a long time but the last time I pulled the trigger it fired. there are a few draw backs as it is only a single shot, it kicks like a mule being that it is small (probably cureable with a kick pad) and it is down in Florence at my dads house. Im not sure what your time line is but if I could pick it up on another trip going down there you can have the gun. If not maybe we can work something out if you need it sooner.

And yes for your information I did fall into one of those holes out at L & C. I had a young dog who was jerking me around over the last weekend and decided to go to her and make an on the spot correction and she is still laughing about it. I mean I dissapeared water over the top of the waders man it ws cold. As a matter of fact I think that the whole kennel had a smirk on there faces when I was feeding yesterday like I was the butt of some sort of dog joke or something.

About the ammo, What is the best way for us to hook up for it? Maybe we should just meet for a duck hunt and make the exchange while we are hunting in the marsh. Let me know if you would like to go out.
