Re: Duck Sneak boat
GRB...Bruce that we fished with this spring, might be interested. Can it handle being towed behind a bigger boat for places like L&C? PM or email me with details if it might work.

Re: Duck Sneak boat
I've got a skull boat (sneak boat) that I haven't used in years. Anyone want one?

Re: Duck Sneak boat
GRB,
I am a sculler, What kind of scull boat do you have. I have built two, and get a kick out sculling.
Is it a humbolt style?

Re: Duck Sneak boat
I guess it's a Humbolt style. Flat, not pointy. Kind of like a Pumkin Seed.
It moves through the water surprisingly well with the skulling oar. I've killed geese with two people in it, but it really is ideal for 1 person.
I've seen the rigid, curved skulling oars. This one is a straight fiberglass blade that you don't have to twist, just pump back and forth and it works like a swim fin.

Re: Duck Sneak boat
GRB,
That sounds like a neat boat. Do you, or could you post pic's of it and the oar? I love learning anything I can about different sculling boats, because there is so little published on the subject.
The oar sounds like nothing I've ever heard of before. I do the old figure eight motion with the bent oar.
Thanks,
Aaron

Re: Duck Sneak boat
Hey GRB and Jellyhead. Good news. I am from Humboldt Bay, own a scull boat, and have first hand experience with the legends and lore of the area. I would definitely like to see what you guys have. There are so many different varieties available these days with few that actually working "correctly". Anywho, good to hear that there are few scullers out there.
Brett
