"This Happened to Me" on OLN

Thursday night while in my hotel in North Carolina I was watching the Outdoor Life Network. There was a show entitled "This Happened to Me." I was surprised to hear that they were doing a segment on a duck hunter that got stranded in a kayak on the Columbia River!! :shocked: The funny thing is that the hunter was hunting the L&C area and the pic they showed of the boat ramp looked a lot like Capin Dan's secrect spot!

Anyone else see this? I can't remember for sure, but it seems the guys name was Frank Mussell or something close tho that.

I also watched that program.. The kyak hunter was real smart, he had a cell phone, GPS, and strobe light with him, and called 911 and guided the sheriff dept. rescue boat to his location.. The outgoing tide was too strong for him to paddle back upriver and he was stranded on a sandbar..

What my secret spot made the Tele. SSSHHHHHHHHHHH don't tell anybody. There aren't any ducks there now anyway. Mossberg and lives to hunt has killed them all. Lives to hunt got all the mallards and Mossberg got all the spoonies. Me I'm still just shooting holes in the air and taking that occassional swim.

Seriously though it is a place that you must respect.

Dan speaks the truth..for now i am ridding Sauvie Island of its spoonie population until some more ducks show up down around L&C. :grin:
