Camo chest waders?
I'm tired of buying $40 waders and $20 canvas boots. It's about time I got myself a pair of quality waders that will last through more than one duck season. The key thing I'm looking for is DURABILITY. I would hope that the waders I buy will last me quite awhile. Also, I'd like to get them with the boot built in. I've been looking at the Hodgman Dura Mag 1200's. What do you guys think? What brand has the best warranty? Durability? Warmth? What do you wear and why? Any info would help.

Buy breathable ones! I'll never purchase another pair of neoprene waders again.
Cabela's is as far as I've searched.

Re: Camo chest waders?
Good luck finding good boots. My last two pair of LaCrosse 250 dollar waders leaked new out-of-the-box. The latest pair are drying out now. When they get completely dry I have a tube of GOOP ready to go over all the seams. That usually gets me through the season. I wish I had all the money I spent on waders over the last 45 years.

Re: Camo chest waders?
check out cabelas master catalog. they have some one piece neoprenes with a nylon coating on them. the boots are already attached. i have a friend of mine that guides for waterfowl and he swears by them. he has got at least 5 seasons out of them because of the nylon coating on the outside and they are as tough as can be. take care, BTS

Re: Camo chest waders?
I got a pair of Cabelas Warrior 1000 waders last year for Christmas. They are awesome, breathable with a little neoprene in the seat and thighs for warmth. I don't get cold in them and I don't sweat like a pig either. Now, I sent that pair back a couple weeks ago due to a leak in the crotch. Got the other pair last Mon and am sending them back now, wore them twice and the second time the sole is separating from the boot causing cold wet toes. I will try one more pair of these and then I will probably get another of neoprenes and sweat all the time again.

Re: Camo chest waders?
I JUST bought the same Hodgeman's you mentioned. I've only been out in them one time but boy did they keep me warm and dry! In my opinion, you almost need two pairs of waders. One pair of neoprenes with built in boots... for those long cold days sitting in tidewater. Another pair of breathable waders when you will be moving around... or have a long hike into your favorite spot.
Just my two cents.

Re: Camo chest waders?
I have the Hodgman dura mag waders I love them, I got them last year at fishermans on sale for $188, it was one of the holliday sales last year. They normaly sell for 230, I think they have a one year warranty. With the holidays coming up they should be going on sale pretty soon.

Re: Camo chest waders?
Listen to Norriverdave guys. You will never buy anything else once you try cabela's breathable boot foots. Its almost like not even haveing them on they are so lite and flexable. They will leak if you leave them to close to your dog crate with a puppy inside. I sear he managed to pull about 1/3 of those waders through one of those little slots on the side. I almost could even pull them out.
Why would he do that to me?
