santiam unit help

Any of you guys hunt the santiam unit for this late elk hunt? I have not hunted this late bow hunt before, and appreciate any info. thax Eric

Have a buddy who took a cow up in the upper Calapooya drainage area behind Sweet Home out of Holley a few years back durinh the late hunt. There's a lot of timber company property up in there and most of it is gated so you have to walk in.

Thax artwo!!, I was also looking at the area north of detroit, I was told that is a place to look, I may check it out in the am. Good luck to the rest of you late bow hunters!!!!
