When you say rescue, is this cat from wild stock? If soo I hope your kids are old enough to defend themselves.

Dude, that is one cool looking pet-cat!! Is it a real lynx? How big will it get?
I had a GF yrs ago that had a bob-cat for a pet. The animal was de-clawed, it smacked me in the side of the head one night, from this tree stump she kept in the basement for it. Knocked me right to my knees.

Evil cats eat you when you aren't looking.

It's just an animal. They don't do "evil" and "good". That's reserved exclusively for the humans.

What an elegant creature! Beautiful! I'm a cat freak. I want to stroke it, pet it, scritch him behind the ears, hear him purr. Do they purr?

I do not, however, want to change his litter box.

Kitty has a nice couch, too. Does he let you sit there sometimes?

Why do I feel that rolling him on his back and rubbing his belly would be a faster and more efficient way to commit suicide than just slashing my wrists with a razor blade?

Thanks STG. I beg to differ, I've been around some pretty cranky cats. I guess I shouldn't put human characteristics on to animals though. But I still think the cat looks capable of doing some damage to me. Regardless I think its probably the coolest looking cat I've ever seen.

Cool!

How many leashes has he chewed through?

Do you have to do an animal (pet) head count each morning?

For Gods sake, don't forget to feed the cat!!

Oh my - Tucker the wonder lab just ran under the couch - If you take that kitty out on the boat it brings on a whole new meaning to Trunk Monkey - or Beatem & Howe's vernerable Fish Box Monkey - The new Cuddy Cabin Kitty.

Astoria Press Release - Somtime in 2006 B10 Season

The Astorian for imediate release - Reporters have learned today that ******** by the droves have been reporting to local hospitals in a slightly shreaded condition - when asked about their injuries the only words they have been able to utter from their shredded mouths and boddies has been "Here Kitty"!

Police are baffled by the drastic decrease in fishing boat thefts this year and landlords around town are reporting a larger number of vacancies in rundown downtown Astoria apartments.

Here Kitty,Kitty!

My mother was one of those rescures in North Carolina. I grew up with 2 Jagurundi cats from South America, the male is now in the New York zoo as it attacked my dad and we had to seperate the two, Mt Lion, black leopard, two African Ant Eaters,Lynx, racoons,Ocelot, and a medium size male lion.

We had twenty acres in cages for these animals. Small circus woulld come thru the county and mom and her group would resue any animal in trouble.

Ih yea, three Siamese cats and kittens all the time.

Enjoy your new friends.

my wife is guessing that he will be about 80 lbs at full growth.we feed him a canned food called zoopreme which is made for preditor type felines.we have had to feed some cats real turkey and chicken and some people even feed them baby chickens, you can buy them by the box in frozen state.Ryan its a full time job to own one of these cats, its not like you can go camping for days and leave them at home for someone other than you to feed.there are stringent guidelines in place to protect humans as well as the animals and its a big responsability as well as honor to own such special animals.in a perfect world there would be no captive wild animals but as enviroment shrinks and humans approach animal habitat the inevitable happens.sometimes the out come is promiseing such as the california condor and sometimes it is not such as the florida cougars, yes florida has a small cougar population that is on the brink of extiction, sadly the biggest threat to the florida cougar is getting hit by a car.in the end we must do all that is possiable to ensure the future of all species we impact.
