Boil them for a bit. Then use a wooden stick to work the meat loose. Them carry them around in your pocket with yor change for a couple of weeks. Works great.

Re: How can you get this done???
I would think the acid would eat the finish off of the teeth? I would boil them and the dried meat or tissue should come off fairly easy. Remember this advice is only worth what you paid for it.

If your gonna have them set into a ring, leave it to the jeweler. They are gonna cut and grind and polish the tooth anyway. Leave it to the pros.
Even if you were gonna have them "Capped" for a pendant, they will do work to the root structure to make it functional, and polish the "Ivory" to make 'em pretty.
Any questions, check out my profile.

I dont think I would be putting them in coca-cola dad, as they say that you can use that [petunias!] to clean the toilet. And yes it could eat the finish/enamal off the teeth. I would think that boiling them is a better idea....

Re: How can you get this done???
Not to totally derail this thread - but there are really wierd uses for Coke A Cola. Note that the syrup when traveling in a container truck is required to display Hazmat labels - and we drink the stuff
Here is one use I found from a a web site on the strange uses of Coke that would fit the theme of the site - use Coke to clean the Willie scum off you hull
The Navy uses Coke to help preserve it's submarines: Bill Ferris from Summerville, SC writes; "A retired enlisted sailor, I made 17 submarine patrols between 1975 and 1992. Subs normally stayed in the cooler, northern waters, but on one patrol we spent a great deal of time in the warmer, southern Atlantic. When we returned to port, our normally black hull was covered with a snowy, white film. It was apparently some type of marine animal or plant that thrived in the warmer water. Try as we might, we couldn't clean the film off to prepare the hull for routine preservation (Navy term for painting). Finally, one old salt suggested we try Coke syrup. We had a soda dispenser onboard, so we had access to gallons of the syrup. We poured it on the hull, let it sit for a few minutes, and easily brushed the growth off." Thanks for the great info Bill!

Re: How can you get this done???
yep the stuff is NASTY FOR YOU!!!
I had a friend with kidney stones, the friday before the operation (yep sugery) he heard a wives tale about drinking coke to cure stones. He drank a sixer of coke every day for the weekend and the doc said the stones were gone on Monday!!
ever get a rust stain in your toilet? just one 12oz can poured in and let set for 15 minutes will take the stains right out with only a gentle brushing.
wanna polish your tarnished coins or silver but forgot to buy the metal polish??? just pull out a bottle of coke and soak them for a few minutes. rinse and dry!

Re: How can you get this done???
If you have city water all you need to do is soak them in a glass for a few days. Just change the water once or twice a day. There is enough clorine in city water supplies to do the job. Changing it only speeds the process and keeps the smell down. I have done this with fresh wistlers and it will eventually even eat the stuff on the inside also. It is faster if you use a tooth pick or dental pick to pull out most of it first. This WILL NOT work if your water source is a deep hole in the ground.
