Default Ammunition prices?

Does anyone know of a store or place where I can purchase rifle ammo at a reasonable price? I shoot a .270 and a .338 and would like to purchase a decent supply for the right price.

Would appreciate any help. (I shoot Nosler Partitions only)

If you shoot a lot, it might be cheap to get an inexpensive LEE kit for ~$100, couple set of dies for less than $25, brass ~$50, 2 cans of powder ~$40, Nosler 2nds for ~$15 per 50, and load your own. Then after you are set up, you can reload a box with partitions for less than $10.

Besides, its fun... just a thought

Rusty,

You may be able to find the right price on ammo this wkend at the gun and knife show. Lots of vendors, so you may be able to haggle(sp) a bit to get the price you want.

Ammo is a commodity, like lumber or grain, so the prices are market driven. Your guns are relatively popular, esp the .270, so supply is high and the price isn't going to be that bad. But, unless you are willing to buy LOTS-O ammo, it is still going to be cheaper, in the long run, to reload.

After trying several different kinds of ammo, in both the 180gr and 150gr, I found that my Rem .270 shoots the Rem 150gr factory loads the best. Caught a break I guess. I buy my ammo when either Bi-Mart or GI Joes has their sales and usually find it for just under $10.

Find a "reloading friend" and do some trading. A little shared reloading time for some shared time in your boat. Supply the components and dies, if necessary. I know I wouldn't have any problems with an arrangement like that. Good Luck. I know those Federal Premiums are getting spendy.

You could also try to get it from places like mid south shooters supply. Ad a dot com and that is the internet address. Graf and sons I believe is grafs.com or midway shooter supply any of them usually run sales on common calibers. Also watch Bi Mart adds they sale them often also. If that don't work try the reloading thing Man sometimes you can make a gun so much more accurate with a little TLC and maybe even improve yur speeds.
Thats my 2 cents
