Default Wall Tent Drying

We'll we had a pretty dry Elk hunt till the last 2 days. This was the first time using the tent that I have to dry it . My space is limited, so I need some good ideas -FAST. Right now my tents are filling the basement and garage. I could mount some screw eyes and run rope to hold the tents up, but that seems like a lot for a few days of drying. Are their any simple solutions.

Speaking from experience, I recommend that you NOT nail the corners to the living room floor, carpeted or not. When the Cootessa wandered in, barefoot to see what the pounding was, and tore her foot open on a litte finishing nail, I thought my time had come.

I suggest stretching the ropes in the garage/basement and laying it over those, with an oscillating fan running. Be sure to allow for some air exchange wherever you put it. Mildew can show up fast!

Ideally setting it up in a large warm shop would be nice but it doesnt sound like you have that option.

I know Salem Tent and Awning will dry tents for like $60 I think last time I checked. I would be surprised if one of the PDX area tent shops didnt provide a service for drying tents.

I usually hang mine in my garage and just try to drape it out. I have open rafters and I tie the eave ropes to the rafters. If I had to mount something to tie the ropes to it might be a pain.

I wish I had rafters to tie to. My garage is an old single car garage that was drywalled. The basement is the same and the roof lines are only 7 ft. Both get moisture with a lot of rain.

If you can get it to Albany, try Bussard and Son's. They'll dry it, sweep all the muck off, fold it nice and neat and stick back it the bag for ya. Used to be about $30 when I was down there, but I would have paid $100 for the service.
I'm sure that no one needs to tell you the importance of getting that thing dried...
