That was a mess and it was a shame that two guys lost their spots. I think a lot of those guys that moved up just didn’t feel they had to wait until their number was called a just ran up there to get a jump on things not to turn around. I know of a least 1 person that had to wait until they called chip 100 before they would let him pick and he was still there when we checked out think I heard them say he was #25.

I say that if you drive up there before your number is called they just kick you off. It doesn’t speak to well for your IQ and we sure don’t need them out in a blind next to someone if they can’t even follow simple instructions about checking in.

i was there..and man, it was a zoo. i have hunted out there quite a bit i can say that it takes alot to get Ron mad, but when he does..look out.

i like the idea of simply tossing people that move up before they are called.

People really move up BEFORE their number is called? Doesn't make any sense, how are you gonna get a jump on things...it goes in order? I thought the problem was with the guys who were going to leave, the ones that had too high a number and gave it back. I do that a lot. If we draw poorly then we get out of line and go to the Eastside. We're long gone by the time they finish handing out chips, so it's never been a problem.

Default Sauvies Westside...

Hunted the west side Sunday morning, nothing doing where we were at. Were any of you in line for the cluster that took place during the assignment of blinds? I feel bad for the few guys who lost out on pics (8 & 11) because people were trying to leave while they were trying to make it up to choose thier blind. I don't know of any solutions, but something needs to be done. The guy at the check station threatened to close the hunt down that day if people would not cooperate. Not sure if he had the authority to do it, but he was one mad dude!

Man that sucks, I was #9 and was waiting up there for #8 for a long time until they told us to just go ahead and choose. The guys with chip #11 let us listen to their radio so we would know when we were called. Nice guys, sorry to hear about the bad luck. I was thinking about what would work, and if the guys at the shack came on the radio and first said. "OK, everyone that wants to leave you have 5 minutes, then we will start calling chips and you need to STAY PUT in line so we don't have any jam ups." I think that would work. It would give everyone an opportunity to leave BEFORE things got started. I don't think he could close the day down, that would pretty much be pointless, as the only people that would be hurt by that are the people would AREN'T leaving. Why would that guys that are leaving care if it's closed down that day? Definitely not a good way to solve the problem, but something needs to be done.
