Re: Our Fish
What great photos!!!
Mike, you look like a pro the way you are displaying that beast. Is Lee a little tired in his shot, or just in shock?
You guys have now have raised your level of ifish salty dog studliness to god-like status.
And now we will bow...

Holy Hazmat, Batman!
Note to self: Watch these guys because they'll probably throw those wimpy little 80-90lb halibut back over the side from now on.
Can't wait to hear the story first-hand. I can't imagine the feeling when you finally pull one of those puppies onto the deck.

I have not seen pictures of those beasts since I lived in San Diego. Which boat did you take??? Royal Polaris??? Red RoosterIII or maybe a different fleet? I'll bet they kicked some reel butt! Did you guys need any back up rigs?

So are they bled, brain spiked and quickly frozen? That's a whoooole lot of Tuna! Way to go! My dad has been on the Red Rooster III several times but never got into the big Tuna like that. They did well just not that well.

Re: Our Fish
I've been looking at those pictures every two minutes for about an hour now, and I've come to the conclusion that they were digitally enhanced.
For example, I know that Lee doesn't have more than six fingers on his hand, yet in that pic you can clearly see eight. It's a fake, plain and simple.
And if you look at Mike's picture, the perspective clearly shows his fish to be fourteen feet long. Not a chance. Also note that there is NO SIGN OF CARNAGE around Mike's fish. There is no way they could have cleaned all the blood off the gunnels, deck, railing, and camera lens. I figure it's an old picture from a Hemmingway book superimposed in front of Mike. Has to be.
There, now I can rest - as soon as I have just one more drink.
Skein - who is absolutely in awe of your trip.

WOW
Talk about setting the bar high!!

OK Now I am going to start my crew on protien shakes, butt injections, weight lifting,........ and what ever else it is that those people, who look like they could crack cocoa nuts in their arm pits, do.

I will be driving the truck behind them, close behind them, to make sure the keep running.

I can't imagine reeling those fish in without a sponsorship from WARN winch.

Re: Our Fish
Most awesome!,
I came across some pictures from other boats in the fleet where you are fishing. The quality of that fishery right now is un-paralelled in past history in terms of numbers and weights.
You have great luck to be there when those giant cows arrived in such force....
Nice work!
