Default Jim Erickson - NF Nehalem

I had the pleasure of taking a trip down the NF Nehalem with Jim Erickson earlier this week.

For those not aware, Jim is selling a map of the river detailing out all the holes on the river. Part of the deal is that he also takes you down the river and shows you all of these spots and gives you ideas on how to fish them. Proceeds go to the local chapter of the NW Steelheaders.

We had some pretty decent action, but my favorite part of the trip was learning all about the river and a lot of it's history from Jim. The scenery was also spectacular.

I would recommend this trip for anyone that would like to learn more about this beautiful river from the person that probably knows it better than anyone.

What I like is when he calls you back to the boat.

"Toot! Toot!"

Alright, so he knows the river, too.

He showed me how to "tickle" my gear loose when it's gets hung up in a tree. That trick was worth the price of the map, all by itself. I probably saved $15 worth of gear in one trip alone.
