Late Buck Help, vail tree farm?
Ill be heading to the vail tree farm tomorrow for late buck, I need to get a deer, I know itll be packed with people, but I need the upper hand somehow, I know the area well and have gotten many nice bucks, but this year has been tough for me, havent seen many, its not because of lack of effort or deer, just me, i guess. I passed up the only buck I have seen in the early season, figuring, late buck is better. how do I get my deer tomorrow, i know we have some good hunters, who might have answers on here. thanks. These are Blacktail in Western Washington.

Re: Late Buck Help, vail tree farm?
Hey I'm with you man, though I haven't passed up a buck this season. I'm still looking for my first deer, and looking in Western Washington tomorrow... Don't know how to get the upper hand, I rattled antlers the last two days and that doesn't seem to be the way. Good luck, I waiting to see if anyone posts anything good.

Re: Late Buck Help, vail tree farm?
If you get the rain storm forecast for us down here, still hunt in the rain, in trees big enough for you to comfortably walk under. The bucks will be moving, walk in far enough to get away from other hunters as much as possible, and then start moving slow. Just because you can't see them, it doesn't mean they arent there. Be optimistic, all the conditions are on your side.
Good Luck

And if you see a doe - don't move for about 15 minutes - chances are there is a buck not too far from that doe.

If the rain continues through the night, the
morning should be great. As long as the moon is'nt
out tonight, they won't be feeding and bed down.
