Default FIrst Post

First of just wanted to say hello to everyone. This is my first post so I hope I do everything right. I also wanted to say that this is a really cool website. Well I understand that the newbie is suposed to post a story so here it goes  I was out fishing in the estuary with my dad on a beautiful summer day. We had caught a few smaller coho earlier that morning, and shortly after I had taken the first bite of my sandwich my rod goes down, and once again my heart started to race.So I threw down my sandwich and started to reel. As I continued to reel in this fish, I noticed that it was dragging somthing behind it, and sure enough when we got it to the boat the coho was dragging a whole setup with a flasher as well. My dad netted the nice fat hatchery buck, we took out both of the rigs, ours and sombody elses, exchanged high fives, rebaited and then continued to eat my sandwich that was now nice and wet.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I am really excited about fishing in 2004 even though I had to pay more for my liscense, worth every penny to me. I also look foward to meeting and getting to know some of you this year while on the computer or on the water.

I think every experienced fisherman has a "soggy sandwich" story somewhere in his background.

Welcome. Keep fishin' and keep sharing stories.

Welcome aboard, and I hate that soggy sandwich thing, I usually take a couple extras in case the fishing is slow, just pull one out and away you go. You'll get addicted to this site. Ray

Thats a fool proof method of getting a rod to go down. In many past trips if fishing is a little slow I'll just get my lunch spread out and start eating, and BAMMMMM FISH-ON!

Welcome to the party
