Tuna Time gets lucky...real lucky!
This is probably better suited for the hunting page, but I know many of you also spend lots of time in the woods and this is a good story.
So he is Colorado on an Elk/Deer hunt with his son...passes up some smaller bucks and the last morning of his hunt things start to go right...very right!
They're working an area where the elk are feeding towards them...at 350 yards he has a smaller 5x5 (good eater) in the scope but decides to wait for a closer shot...at 201 yards he puts the cross hairs on the bull...bang!...bull down! He racks another shell...puts the scope back on the area where the bull went down...a nice, heavy 4 pt stood up 90 feet from where the bull lay...bang!..."down goes Fraiser"! Drove the truck right to the animals...and the freezer is full!
They finished the day fly fishing with 2 rainbows and 2 german browns...how's that for a cast and blast!
The bonus...Dick had misplaced a significant amount of cash last year fly fishing...he found it in his wading jacket this year! What a day!
Anyway...just filling some space while we wait for another tuna season to return!
Peace-
