I didnt apply but a hunting buddy did..I havent applied for that one in years. It can be a great hunt if you get a top 4 draw...otherwise..

Last time I hunted it I shot a pintail with a radio transmitter on it. Probably should have bought a megabucks ticket that day

Two years ago I drew 13th out of 14. We shot more ducks than any other blind. The guys in the surrounding blinds either didn't bring thier calls or the ones that did should have left them at home. I was seemingly calling in birds from canada that day. The whole drawing thing and dealing with all the people can be frustrating though.

Seems like status quo for Fern Ridge. If you get a decent blind with water and you can call, you can usually pull ducks. Add some weather to that equation and look out
