It won't be any secret when they show. The board will be full of smelt reports even when a small pilot run shows. Just keep watching the board. Word spreads fast.

Acording to the local paper today, there was one(1)smelt dipped by a comercial dipper at the mouth of the Cowlitz. But my brother told me tonight that there are plenty of happy gulls down his way,in Astoria, getting their fill,so they are on the way.

Offshore,

I dont have a lot of them but enough to get me by.And spare 3-4 small bags of vac packed ones from last year.Theres 1-2 dozen in a bag.I'll look at my stash.if its in better shape than I thought.more might be available.

I work over at the Burlington-Northern yard on Yeon.I'm off till tues. but would bring some in for you if you can come by there.Let me know and we can make a plan if your interested.

I heard from a friend today they saw a large bunch of gulls feeding around the astoria bridge, so hopfully they will be on there way soon.
