Default Central Coast Elk Packers

Can anyone recomend an elk packer that can help me hike out my elk WHEN I harvest him? I'll be hunting north of Florence, south of Yachats so they should be from around there. Thanks

yachats.... hmmmm, find a local tavern, you will find some loggers drinking beer, (look for hickory shirts and cut off pants with suspenders) and offer them several beers on you, after you get a little work taken care of.

Done make the offer of all the beer you can drink, you might not be able to afford that

good luck hunting

Thats why you need 1200 feet or more of cable, steep and deep up in that area. Good luck.

Choose your "tavern" carefully. Quite a few years ago my dad took a couple of his friends as a joke into a tavern there after hunting and I dont think it was full of loggers, this group was battin from the other side of the plate. Needless to say my dad could not keep a straight face when he saw his friends getting a few "looks" and starting to wonder what the heck was going on. so be carefull.

By the way my dad and I will be hunting somewhere around there. He is still gathering info from some of the locals as to where the elk are. Good luck to ya I hope you do some good. Like I posted before if that was you that was posting about cummins creek that used to be a great area but I have not been down there for about 11 years now.
