In May, there was a nice buck near my house that got hit by a car and it really screwed up his left antler. The deer got up and ran off - probably with a massive headache. Ive been looking for him but, have yet to see him. If he survived that left antler should look "special".

Nice 4Xspike!

My neighbor shot a blacktail last year that was a 4 pt on one side and nothing but hair on the other. He showed me the skull after he had skinned it and the whole side of his skull was deformed but there didn't appear to have any healed fractures. Our conclusion was a run in with a car but who knows.

I too am confused!
I got the little horn thingy, but where's the beef?
Possibly, just a bad angle of pic?
Or, maybe bad lighting, or a buck that had a sex change?
OR, an inner-glactical merge of some deer that didn't realize all the components it needed to survive here on earth?
Whatever!
Still looks edible, and will make some tasty vittles with some onions.
Good eats!
Happy Huntn'
