CALL OF DUTY 2
Anyone else buy this PC game yet? I played the first one and loved it. I bought this one Friday night and have played it a little, so far so good.

Re: CALL OF DUTY 2
Sorry Fishboys for a minor hijack..
At 45 years old and a general distaste for first person shooters I have to admit that I am completely hooked on Battlefield 2. The online multi-player demo game is challenging, fast paced and unpredictable. Playing with other players instead of a computer makes it a battle of wits instead of a predictable old computer game. I also like that even though it is a war game, it is not terribly gory. A good way to burn off a little stress at the end of the day. At least when my teenage son lets me use his "good" computer.

Re: CALL OF DUTY 2
USS Minnow, all input is welcome . I didnt play vids for about 20 years. I was at a buddys house and watched him play call of duty online and it looked like a fun game. So the next day I go buy the game and try to install it. No go,my vid card wasnt good enough so now I have a 50.00 game that I cant play. So the next day I go buy a new card for 200.00 and install the new card, now I can play my 50.00 game, well kinda,my computer needed more memory to play the game at a fast pace. So the next day I went and bought more memory for about 100.00. so this 50.00 game cost me about 350.00 dollers to play and I will tell you it is worth every penny. I love it. Playing Online is a blast

Re: CALL OF DUTY 2
So when you play call of duty 2 online are you playing against others or is it still scripted? I do like the online games because you do get to interact with others. I like to observe human behavior through video games. It's interesting how inventive some people get with their strategy.

Re: CALL OF DUTY 2
Nah, it's not the computer speed, you just spend too much time outdoors to be as good! Seriously, though, a good computer and high-speed internet makes a TON of difference.

Re: CALL OF DUTY 2
Yep, those do help.
I have not played CoD2, but I've got Battlefield 2. I have a hard time with it...it tends to be a deathfest for me. I'm a pretty good Battlefield 1942 player, but the new one just seems to move too fast for me. I refer to it as BF:Instadeath.

Re: CALL OF DUTY 2
The vid and mem requirements for bf 2 and cod 2 are way up there. Even with the minimum vid and mem application in your pc, others with 64 bit machines have the drop on you instantaneously. I'll just stick with good old bf or CS 1.6

Re: CALL OF DUTY 2
I actually found it easier to stay alive in BF2 than BF1942. Not that I don't lead the pack in deaths but that's just because I'll stupidly run into battle's I shouldn't  At least I seem to not always be on the loosing end of a gun fight like I was in bf1942. The nice thing though is the point system doesn't revolve around how many kills but more about teamwork. In BF1942 you weren't nothing unless you had a lot of kills. Now I can lead in points due to teamwork. Yay!

Counterstrike drives me insane! I am killed instantly. It's unbelievable sometimes. I don't know how some people are so good at that game.
