Re: Favorite Beatles songs
Hey Jude is the best but any and all are great. Many Memories come to mind with their songs.
Reader's Digest has a neat article in their new edition.

Re: Favorite Beatles songs
I was one of the lucky ones that got to see Paul at the Rose Garden Friday night!
Bravo!
The man played from 8:30 til 11:30 and did 2 outstanding encores sets. This was probably the best concert I have ever been to. He did TONS of Beatles songs, and quite a few from Wings and his new album as well. The pyrotechincs were the best I've ever seen. The guy genuinly acted like he loved his job and couldn't get enough of us! He was a real funny guy, and he rocked. There will be an airing of his concert in St. Petersberg (they recently aired the Red Square concert, veryvery good too). Also I just heard my hubby's company is filming the San Jose concert this week and the footage will be used for an upcoming special.
My favorites:
In My Life
Blackbird
Hey Jude
I Will

Re: Favorite Beatles songs
Only a Northern Song...
She's Leaving Home would make me cry when I was a kid...
Okay, overall Sgt. Peppers is everything it's cracked up to be, but Side B of Abbey Road and Magical Mystery Tour are probably my favorite album sides, top-to-bottom... seriously, a dead-heat... couldn't choose just one or the other.
But a "warm gun" to my head... only one song that I can listen to for eternity... it'd have to be Side B of Abbey Road - from, "Because" to "The End", because, in the end it is just One Song...
I am not the only one that is making sure my kids are hearing plenty of this music throughout their childhood, right?
Not to play the age game, but is anyone in this thread younger than me? Born after they broke up? 1 year to the day before Nixon resigned?
And easily the best post-Beatles album, by any of them, is Double Fantasy.
Oh, and if I had Paul's job... yeah, I'd love it too!
