Well, against better judgement I decided to get my german short hair from the kennel in eastern Washington, and hunt the release site in Skagit county. I have been able to get birds, but there are a lot of people. Most of the people I have met are nice. I did have one negative experience though. After I got my limit yesterday my father in law, wife, and I ran into some trouble in the parking lot. My father in law had our dog, Elly, leashed as we walked through the lot to get to our car. A guy in a red Meota (not sure if that is how to spell it)with the top down (it was like 40 degrees out)had a wire hair and not sure what the other one was. Anyway, he was letting them run all over the place when the wire hair began jumping on Elly. Elly is a nice dog, but she does not like strange dogs jumping all over her. So, my father in law politely asked the gentlemen to call his dog 3x. At which point the dogs began to show teeth, and begin to scrap. My father in law stuck his leg out to keep the wire hair at bay and began to yell at the guy to call his dog. Well, the guy began yelling at my father in law calling him an ***hole and not to kick his dog. The thing was my father in law did not kick his dog. Rather was trying to keep the two from hurting each other. Moving to the abridged version...the guy got in my father in law's face wanting to fight

. I defused the situation telling them to calm down no one is at fault here(even though that was not my true opinion). It was a tense situation whereby dude ended up appologizing. In the end hunting was a great deal of fun. The yuppie in the red convertible should go to some anger management classes, or maybe stick to golfing and stay out of the field. I am hesitant to go back to the area because I am not a confortational person. Just wanted to let you guys know what happened and see what you thought. Craig
