John Day River Steelhead FIshing????

Can anyone give me the name of a guide who fishes the John Day River this time of year for steelhead? Love to give it a try. ORRR.........if you go and have an empty seat or two, my wife and I would love to join you, split costs, etc. Let us know. Thanks

Don Schneider with Reel Adventures has probably been doing it the longest.

Dave Maroon has a couple of years up there as well.

Salmon King I have been fishing it since the mid 70s and at times it can be real good steelhead fishing and some times its not but you just have to give it a try.The go to methods are pulling plugs and shrimp and bobbers.The water is low this year so if you go to the narrows you will need a jetboat.
