Around the mouth of the Wilson is some good shooting.

I hunted Tilly a lot in years past. And I can say with great confidence that I have never eaten a worse tasting duck than a widgeon from Tillamook bay.

Along the sand spit at cape mears can be fair too.

A skull boat sneaking into the rafting birds out in the middle of the bay would be a wonderful way to hammer them.

Good shooting there at times.

A friend who hunts the marsh off the Wilson said it's been the best he's ever seen. We're heading over there to find out.

I thinl the easiest way would be to put in at the oyster house and run up the wilson from there. We heard shots all day last sunday!

Put about a 1/2" layer of grease on your gun before you go and repeat as necessary.

i was bobber fishing on the wilson on sat and heard lots of shooting. i was told that only certain place attract the birds, and you have to be the first one in there in order to get a shot at the spot. the place that we were located wasn't far from where they were hunting and we saw raft after raft of birds going into them. good luck and i hope you get the spot. Hunted out there today, the birds must have left! I thought for sure with all the good reports it would be a great day. The morning wind didn't move much. Shot my gun a couple times, came away with one duck.

I'm going to try the Lewis and Clark refuge this weekend, anyone hunted there lately?
