Default Nosler Accubonds do the job!

I just returned from Idaho and am glad to say that my 160 grain Nosler Accubonds worked just as good as the good old 160 grain Nosler Partitons. I harvested a nice 3 x 2 from over 400 yards and it went thru and thru, behind the shoulder and exited no problem thru the opposite shoulder. The buck did the classic jump and kick and collapsed less than 3 strides later. I still have never recovered a bullet from my 7mm mag shoothing the 160 grain. That's well over 60 deer, elk and antelope, combined. Just thought I'd give the update on the pretty little "Accubonds". Let me know what you've experienced. Thanks, Kris.

Congrats on the buck.

Have heard mostly great stuff about the accubonds. I am looking forward to getting to shoot something with my .280 and also .300 wby with them. They sure do group nice in both my guns.

2 bucks taken with my new .270wsm...all Accubonds went through the deer doing MASSIVE destruction around the wounds! 10 days till I get to try it again on Montana deer!

I shot 2 deer this year with accubonds. I recovered 1 bullet. It had a great "classic" mush room. That bullet hit a long length of bone but stayed together, for the most part.

Kris, thanks for the report!
Congrats on your success. I still have yet to work up a load for my 7mmWSM, was thinking of going with the Interbond, but may have to give the Accubond another look. I think it's a bit stronger bullet than the Interbond.
Good shoot'n BTW!

I got my little blacktail this year with a 140 gr Accubond out of a 270 WSM. They did the job, and held together after going through both leg bones and the heart. This was at 40 yards too, so I was very happy to see it didn't explode on me. Very little blood shot for how fast those bullets shoot too.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad I bought shooting sticks before I went to Idaho. The country we hunted was really steep and really open. It was nearly impossible to stalk closer than 200 or 300 yards. Thank God for flat shooting rifles and a little luck. Good luck to all. Kris.

my dad and his buddy went to Montana last year and both shot bucks with accubonds. both deer dropped in their tracks. i'm going to try 180's for elk this year, instead of 165 partitions.

That's great news JMG! Let me know how the 180's do on the mighty Wapiti! Good luck. Kris.

That is a heck of a shot. I love the word 'harvest' such a sweet little word describing putting a hole through an unsuspecting animal. Yeah!!
